The three type of management information systems for decision
making or applicable as per the levels of management so there are
three levels of management.
Top-level management or strategic level management
Middle level management or managerial level management
Operational level management or bottom level management
Under the top level management the information flows from top to bottom because in the top level management all the higher authorities of the organisation will take the decisions related to the plans and policies of the firm the goals and objectives of the firms and important orders that must be applicable in the organisation for the free flow of managerial work.
Under the managerial level or middle level management here the communication flows from top level to the bottom level means middle level management work as a mediator between top level and the bottom level middle level managers perform the duty of giving suggestions and pass on the orders which they received from the top level.
Under the operational level or bottom level management the management information system plays an important role because this level actually perform the production activities and they immediately guide the workers all the orders framed for this level and only this level perform the duty of maintaining the efficiency and effectiveness in the organisation.
