One of the respected and crucial position of health care system is Nursing.

Everyone cannot be a nurse as it requires a lot of dedication and one can fulfill this position until he or she decides to be a nurse and is ready to dedicate their lives.

There are many reasons why one wants to be a nurse such as Interest in medicine, loves to serve people, knowing the worth of the profession (via any parent/relative being a nurse), one who cannot get a medical seat but still want to be a part of medical profession, etc.

However one has to have the following qualities to become a nurse:

Empathy - The ability to understand other people feelings.

Patience - It requires a lot of a patience as they work for many hours without a break.

interpersonal skills - It requires to work together with other health care professionals.

Quick problem solving skills - It is important in emergency conditions.

Non judgemental - It is required not to judge the patients for their decisions or habits.

Discipline - It is utmost important to stick by ethical rules.

The importance of being a nurse is to provide quality treatment to the patient.

The physicians and surgeons will not be with the patient all the time, it is the nurse who attends the needs of the patients most of the time.

Nurses are important as they are needed to give the treatment to the patient as diagnosing and advising the medications alone cannot treat the patient.

They are huge support to doctors.

They are continous educators and counsellors to the patients.
