The ethical decisions as it's relates to psychological
testing:
- Use of appropriate psychological evaluation that best suits the
situation or that best measures or provides evidence for the factor
that is measured.
- Use of psychological tests that are valid and reliable.
- Obtaining of informed consent from the client/patient.
- Maintaining confidentiality in the test results and
interpretations.
- While developing a psychological tests and assessment
techniques,,use of appropriate psychometric procedures to make the
tests reliable,valid and standard, and eliminate the bias in a any
form.
Unethical decisions as it relates to psychological testing:
- Not considering the situational, personal, linguistic,and
cultural differences while a person is assesed .
- Use of psychological tests and assessment techniques by
unqualified person ,and that is developed by an unqualified
person.
- When assessment or interpretation of tests are based on
outdated data or result,or that it doesn't serves the current
purpose.
- When psychologist base their decision or recommendation on data
and measures that are obsolete and not appropriate for the current
purpose.
