a) It is very important to focus on the person's health and wellbeing because they assist a person in maintaining and improving health and minimizing the results of illness and disability.

  • A person's health can be influenced by individual practices such as poor eating habits and little or no exercise.It can also be affected by physical stressors,such as apoor living environment, exposure to air pollutants, and an unsafe environment. Hereditary and psychological stressors, such as emotional, intellectual, social, developmental,spiritual factors, can also influence one's level of health.
  • Health care has become increasingly focused on health promotion, wellness and illness prevention.
  • Health promotion activities such as routine exercise and good nutrition help a person to maintain and enhance the level of health.
  • Health promotion activities motivate people to act positively to reach more stable levels of health.
  • When a person care for themselves in a healthy way suchas physically, can manage stress, and become self responsible, they can achieve new understanding and control of thier lives.

b) when a person is identified with variation in their wellbeing -

  • Emphasize and help them in changing lifestyles to move toward a state of optimal health.
  • provide health education on physical awareness, stress management, self responsibilty.
  • Give attention to personality development and good standard of nutrition adjusted to developmental phase of life.

c) Emotional issues that impact on person's wellbeing are

  • life events such as death of a spouse or family memeber ,divorce, pregnancy,financial instabilties.
  • Job related stressors for example , may overtax a person's cognitive skills and decision making ability, leading to "mental overload" or "burnout".

d) Physical abuse is the use of physical force against someone resulting in physical injury.

Examples of physical abuse include:

  • striking or hitting with a hand, fist, foot or other object,
  • punching, kicking, stabbing, choking, burning, shaking, pushing, throwing, pinching, biting, pulling hair, and actions resulting in physical injury.

Physically abused people are at risk for developing interpersonal problems such as aggressive behavior, substance abuse. In addition, symptoms of depression, emotional distress, and suicidal ideation are also common features of people who have been physically abused.

e) sexual abuse involve sexually inappropriate behaviour such as -

  • sexual assault, rape, molestation, indecent conduct, sexual exploitation, prostitution, sexual touching and exposure to pornography.

sexual abuse can affect well-being:

  • Abuse may impair your ability to trust others.

  • The person experiences low Self-esteem-he or she  may blame self for the abuse, even though it isn’t their fault.

  • One might feel hard to cope with everyday stress.

  • Have a hard time controlling your anger.

  • Dissociation happens, where their mind “separates” itself from painful events to protect itself. they may have a hard time remembering what happened, feel like the world around them isn’t real.

  • The person may harm themselves , but not intend to end their life.
