Organizational decision-making is often guided by data that has been collected either by the organization themselves, or through the use of evidence-based practice. Data collection is often a long, arduous process while using evidence-based data can give a quick picture as to what might work for the organization. Is it better to use data the organization has collected for themselves, or can evidence-based information provide what is needed to form decisions? What are some of the drawbacks of using each data type?
The two forms of data collections itself have some drawbacks.
The organizational decision making is very important thing that will affect the developement of the organization.
In case of direct data collection by own organization-Drawbacks include
Long time procedure it take too much time to get proper data
Unavailability of adequate samples
Lack of similarly organizational setting
There is chance for personal bias-sometimes personality bias will occur
There is chance for duplication of data- long time data collection will have risk of duplication of datas
Termination of employees -Termination of employees during the data collection period will affect the final result
Practical difficulties for data collection
