Solutions

Expert Solution

a. Response bias.

Response bias is of primary concern as it can alter both the reliability and the validity of the self report test.Report bias refers to people's tendency to respond to tests or assessment items based on some factor other than the content. This occurs when people answer tests in ways that do not align with their true attitudes, beliefs, thoughts, or behaviors. Response bias can reduce the reliability and validity of a measurement, since questions are not being answered truthfully.

No other optons are relevent to self report tests.

Length time bias and lead time bias are related to the estimation of survival in a disease.Length time bias  is an overestimation of survival duration due to the relative excess of cases detected that are asymptomatically slowly progressing, while fast progressing cases are detected after giving symptoms.Lead time bias occurs when cases who were detected earlier by screening seem to have survived longer than cases diagnosed after symptoms appear just because the disease was detected earlier, not because death was delayed.Information bias is a cognitive bias to seek information when it does not affect action. Selection bias is a statistical bias in which there is an error in choosing the individuals or groups to take part in a scientific study.
