1 . First of all if the patient have habit of smoking he has to quit smoking first because of that the rate of decline will be much lower.
2. Drugs for chronic bronchitis
1 bronchodilator.(air way openers)
These type of drug relax your air passage to make it easier to breath and to relive your symptoms
They are like 1. FORMOTEROL
2. SALMETEROL
There are some short acting medicine are their like 1. IPRATROPIUM BROMIDE
2. OXITROPIUM BROMIDE
There are some long acting medicines are thair
1. TIOTROPIUM
This all medicines are bronchodilators.
2. ANTI INFLMETORY DRUGS
they are used when severe symptoms are their they are also known as steroids.
They are like 1.BECLOMETHOSONE
2. BUDESONIDE
3. FLUTICASONE etc....
In very serious cases where lungs are too damaged and blood oxygen level are extremely low . At that time OXYGEN THERAPY IS NEEDED.
In very extreme case when lung damage too much surgical treatment also recommend .LUNG TRANSPLANTATION.
