Tools for focused assessment of a virtual patient with Musculo skeletal alterations.  

Physical Examination is the clinical examination for the pupose of obtaining any primary abnormalities in the body systems, by using the techniques of Inspection, palpation, percussion and Auscultation. Focused assessment is a specific assessment of any particular system.

Musculoskeletal system assessment maimly comprises of :

* Asessment of muscles

* Assessing bones

* Assessing joints.

Tools used for a patient with Musculoskeletal alterations: Usually there will not be any tools fo the assessment of Musculoskeletal system. Mainly the physician or the nurses are using the technique, Inspection and palpation to assess any deformity, contractures, fracture, swelling and Range of Motion.

If there is any deviations in the muscle mass, to measure muscle size for detecting any atrophy ( degeneration) or Hypertrophy ( abnormal increase in size).
