ETHICS OF DENTAL FOR STUDENT

ADA has set high standard ethics so that patient get good quality of treatment .

association believes that dentist should have

• 1. knowledge
• 2 skill
• 3technical competence
• 4 follow ethical principle

ethical priciple are -

1. NON MALEFICENCE

• - Dentist should not harm any patient,
• do treatment as per needed,
• should have skill,
• should have thorough knowledge

2. AUTONOMY

• respect patient confidentality
• respect self determination of patient
• patient should be informed about treatment and treatment plan

3 BENEFICENCE

• always do good for patient
• no over treatment and bad quality of treatment should be done
• number of visit for treatment should be limited
• skils should be used for public health benefit and motivation
• skills should be used for research purpose

4 JUSTICE

• no discrimination of patient on base of class, creed, race
• all should be treat fairly

5 TRUTHFULNESS

• NO miscommunication should be there between patient
• be honest and trustworthy in their dealings with people.
• respecting the position of trust inherent in the dentist-patient relationship
