As an employee, doesn't have to be a retail employee for this DB mind you, what would motivate you most of the following and at least give me a sentence or two of WHY it is ranked there, in other words, put all 6 in your order of importance and WHY:

- Monetary compensation (salary, bonus, stock options, etc.)

- Time off (extra paid days off as in extra vacation or paid personal days to use, etc.)

- Being able to work from home occasionally/telecommuting ONCE Covid-19 is hopefully behind us at some point in the future

- Company Subsidized Gym access at work ONCE Covid-19 is hopefully behind us at some point in the future

- Company Subsidized Child Day Care at work ONCE Covid-19 is hopefully behind us at some point in the future

- Better medical/dental/vision plans, etc.

Then, for Store Layout, Design & Visual Merchandising:

- Tell the class a store layout you really think really is set up physically well (as in the aisles, layout, etc.) and WHY and then one you think is poorly set up and WHY.

- Tell the class a store atmosphere where color is used correctly AND one that isn't

- Tell the class a store atmosphere where music is used correctly AND one that isn't.

- Lastly, tell the class a store atmosphere where scent/aroma is used correctly AND on that isn't.

A. Things that would motivate me are:

1. better medical/dental/ vision plans etc

2. company subsidized child day care

3. being able to work from home occassionally

The most important thing that matters for an employee according to me is medical care and other health facilities provided by the company. for everyone their children matters the most and so for the employees , so its important the company provides facilities for children as they matter that most. In times of covid, it becomes very important to stay at home due to infection and flexiblity at workplace is better for employees. Monetary compensation is important because it motivates the employees and keep them intact and they tend to work hard. As the idiom goes, all work no play makes jack a dull boy, so its important to get a time off in the organisation so that employess can rejuvenate themselves and be back with motivation.

B. store layout, design and visual merchandising:

1. in terms of layout, i think sport shops arent good because they just keep the things in racks which is not at all appealing and home stores have great layout because they actually create layout of a house which makes it look good.

2. colors in salons are really dark these days which looks good but it should be a lighter color because that is definitey more relaxing to the eyes. the colors in kids showrooms are great, all colorful which makes kid come and spend time there

3. loud music in salons is not ideal because it is a place to relax and loud peppy music doesn't go well. the music in clothes showroom are good because they are usually slow which are soothing

4. the aroma in all spas are very strong which sometimes cause irritation but the aroma in house living showrooms are generally soft which makes it feel nice
