In a sexual relationship, which partner is responsible for birth control and why? 230-250 word discussion
It is BOTH the partners' who are responsible to ensure that the partners are having safer sex, and specifically use the contraception to prevent both the unplanned pregnancy as well as the sexually transmitted infections
It is a general misunderstanding that female has to take up all the responsibilities on controlling of pregnancy , but it is not true as both the partners are equally responsible. In male they can use many mechanism like barrier mechanisms like condom as well as spermicides to prevent the fertilization processs. Male condoms are a main factor that will help in control of pregnancy aa well as other methods like withdrawal mechanism that is withdrawing at the time of ejaculation by the male is one of the method to avoid fertilization and pregnancy
Also the pregnancy can be avoided by using a permanent method like vasectomy by ligating the vas deference and this will prevent the pregnancy by avoiding the transfer of sperm into the female reproductive tract . These are the specific things that male can do to control the pregnancy
In female it can be controlled by using many methods like barrier methods like female condoms as well as douche method as well .
Other major methods include birth control methods that change the hormonal balance and lead to avoidance of preganacy by avoiding ovulation in the individuals . Many birth control pills are present in todays world and can be used to avoid pregnancy.
Permanent method in females are tubectomy which is a permenant method that will help to prevent the ovum from reaching the site of fertilization by cutting the fallopian tube .
So both the male and female are equally responsible for the control of preganancy .
