Answer-Folate deficiency vitamin B9 deficiency. It is caused due to presence of very low level folate and its derivatives in the mothers body. Due to its low lovel pregnant mothers often become anemic due to presence of low level of red blood cells hence this condition is also called folate deficiency anemia.

Pregnantwomemn with folate deficiency give birth to low birth weight premature infants, infants with neural tube defects and low survival chance.

Pregnant women with low level is called anemia. Low iron level can result in low blood content specially haemoglobin in the body. This condition may lead to maternal mortalitiy if not supplemented with proper diet. It also increases risk of premature birth, low birth weight baby and postpartum depression.

Overconsumption of fish during pregnancy reduces the blood ability to form clots as omega-3- fatty acid reduces the stickiness of platelets. This would lead to mother mortality due to excessive bleeding while giving birth to baby.

Fish source from freswater have higher content of mercury in their body hence it can harm the baby's brain and nervous system.
