For 99% Confidence Interval, α = 0.01

Degrees of Freedom df = n-1 = 17-1 = 16

The critical t-value for α = 0.01 and df = 16 is 2.921 (Obtained using t distribution table. Screenshot below)

z = (x-Mean)/SD

Here, z = 0.75, Mean = 134.5, SD = sqrt(Variance) = sqrt(49) = 7

Substituting all these values we get:

0.75 = (x-134.5)/7

x = 134.5 + 0.75*7
