Advanced Practical Registered nurses are an important aspect of the NY health system.APRN are registered nurses educated at Masters level and they are able to assess,diagnose patient problems,order tests and prescribe medications.There are a myriad of educational opportunities and programs reserved for ARPN title which include Certified Nurse Midwife,Certified Registered Nurse Anaesthetist,Clinical nurse specialist and nurse practicitioner.They have a favourable job outlook.They are often reserved to serve in primary care roles asthey are proficient in diagnostics and procedures that doctors normally provide.They provide health counselling,emotional support and health teaching.According to the NY law ARPN practice is related to a written piece of agreement with a collaborating physician except when an ARPN qualifies for and chooses to practice more autonomously and have more collaborative relationship with the hospitals.
