India fare in recent years in measures of social well-being measured by social progress index as in 2015 it ranked 101, in 2016 it ranked 98 and recently it ranked 93 in 2017 out of 128 countries because lately the various schemes were launched yt the prime minister of the country for the betterment of the society apart from this it has been noticed in the economic survey that due to demonetization and GST reforms in India there is increase in savings and tax network has broaden with more than 50% people entered in the tax net. Apart from this public health and sanitation facilities have increased which improved its social scores.
But the picture is not seemingly well in the case of whole world as out of 128 countries India ranks 93 in the world which in not so good and even it is behind the countries like Bangladesh and Pakistan which shows a degraded social status of women and children with widespread poverty and lack of medical heath, pure drinking water and sanitation.
