SPECIAL DIETARY NEEDS FOR CARDIOVASCULAR DISEASE: To begin a healthy life one has to create a healthy diet plan to reduce the risks. The diet plan should includes the following a) eating of vegetables, whole grains, fruits, nuts and seeds( protein rich foods) every day b) choosing of healthier fats and oils to limit cholesterol c) aims at serves of fish and seafood per week ( 2 or 3 serves) d) lmited fried and baked foods e) reducing the intake of salt and f) increase the intake of water to 2litres per day. THE DIET PALN OF CARDIOVASCULAR DISEASE : BRAKFAST: - 1 cup cooked oat meal with chopped walnuts and topped with 3/4 cup of blueberries at 9am - 1 banana in the diet at 11am along with 1 cup of skim milk LUNCH: -1 cup low fat plain yogurt with 1l2 cup of sliced tomatoes, 1/4 cup of sliced cucumbers, 2 tablespoons crumbled with low-fat cream cheese. - 1 kiwi. DINNER: - 1 cup of brown rice with 1 tablespoon chopped dried apricots -1 cup steamed broccoli 4 ounces of salmon 2 tablespoons of low-fat salad dressing -1 orange SNACK: -2 tablespoons mixed, unsalted nuts -1 cup fat-free frozen yogurt. This diet plan has approximately a nutrient analysis of Calories-1,560kcal, Total fat- 42g, Saturated fat -10g, Monounsaturated -15g Polyunsaturated fat -16g, Cholestrol- 120g, Total protein- 85g, fiber -25g, sodium- 1,257mg and total carbohydrate - 207g.
