Hypothesis:
Population health has weak positive correlation with GDP.
Country
chosen: Bangladesh
- In Bangladesh the expenditure on health care is increased as
the GDP increases; which ddenotes a strong positive
correlation.
- But the life expectancy or the positive outcome of the
increased expenditure is not always the same ,i.e.,it fluctuates
according to the diagnosis and management rather than the expense
though all these are interlinked; depicting a weak positive
correlation.
- Total health related expenditure is more sensitive to GDP than
life expectancy of a country.
How can investments in
population health and healthcare system be the channeled in
controlling cost and effectiveness of health services in the U.S
?
- The U.S expense of per capita on health care is more than that
of other countries.
- The per capita expenses account for about 13.2 % of GDP of the
U.S, which is around $1.3 trillion.
- Coming to the scenario of investments in population health and
healthcare system, the expenditure is divided among the private
sector where capitalistic companies remain in the authoritarian
status; public sector where the presidential government is
addressed to be the policy maker; and certain international as well
as national or regional collaborations.
- More the stakeholders, more the channeling in the expenses, so
as to provide smoother interface and transparency.
- The plans will be lucid and will be implemented after
exhaustive analysis.
- The increased criticisms and corrections will mould the plan
very well for the public.
- The investments are thus being channeled in efficient cost
control and improved effectiveness of health service.
