Discuss the difficulty in creating a vaccine for both Ebola and Coronavirus.

Solutions

Expert Solution

The difficulty to find vaccine for Ebola nd corona virus is that a vaccine works against the disease on the other hand for humanity. This is why that Ebola and corona virus vaccine designed normally to proceeds to take long period compared to other vaccines because of people safety must be proven far away from a shadow of a doubt.

Therapeutic drugs are prescribed to people who need treatment. Vaccines are generally given to healthy human beings so of that to developed vaccine scientist should take couple of days to administer experiment treatment to hospitalised Coronavirus patients and they take some time to determine safety and efficacy of drug.

We already know that some antibodies can actually worsen the disease condition. for example for a dengue virus in Philippi ness and that issue Will rise a with new corona virus. If a vaccine is administered to small size population it may fall in utmost caution and we must move as fast as we can to decrease the risk of developing the spread of pandemic corona virus.

To develop a vaccine we should need funding on average of $20000 per participant through clinical trails and to determine safety and efficacy we need 10000 candidates.that means to recruit people for a single vaccine it took of $200 million.

Based on considering of all the information they take so long to produce vaccine for Ebola and Corona vaccine.

Suppose you have developed a coronavirus vaccine and wish to verify that it is effective in reducing the probability of being infected with the disease. You obtain two random samples. The control group of 90 people is given a placebo, and after 1 year, 8 of them had been infected. The experimental group received the vaccine. Of the 300 people in the experimental group, 8 of them had been infected after 1 year. (SHOW WORK!) The alternative hypothesis for this...

A vaccine for Coronavirus is likely to take a longer time than imagined, because the most obvious target of the vaccine should be the external spike protein on the envelope of this enveloped virus. The cellular attachment protein on epithelial cells, which the virus binds to for entry into the epithelial cell, is known to be ACE2, a receptor enzyme. Explain why the production of a vaccine targeting the coronavirus spike protein (S1), is not likely to be successful.
