The great issue was stigma to an affected person in all aspects of the society starting from home to workplace.
B. The major population impacted are sex workers, homosexual men. and injection drug abusers. The practice of unprotected sex as a livelihood as well as sexual freedom transmitted the disease fast. Injection drug abusers never check for the safety.
C. Society created a critical stigma that still exist. The female gender suffers more than males. In a society ruled by caste, unusual rituals and gender inequality, the disease was given a different face. The patients were neglected and harmed with no reason. Also there are some patients who purposefully try to spread the disease by pricking on their body and do the same to some other people.
D. Being a male dominated society, the workforce usually consists of a higher fraction of males so that higher incidence of the disease in them created severe economical issues. Many families were affected when the breadwinner became a lifelong patient. It affected trade, education as well as quality and standard of life.
