* How would you describe your social competence as a young child? Did it change over middle childhood?

I can describe my childhood went in a competative world where teachers or parents think without competation nothing can be learned. So, as a young child I did not have much social competance but when I reached middle childhood. My social competance skills got improved due to involvement in different co-curricular activities like volunteering for the events, participating in dance and singing programmes which made me to develop my emotional, cognitive , behavioural skills .

According to me I was high status child due to participation in different activities.

*Did you play predominantly with high or low status children?

I used to play with both statuses children because I used to believe being with low or high status it does not affect my status and being with low or high status children it will enhance their social skills too.

*Were you popular?

Yeah I was a popular kid because of the participation in different school activities.

Deepak was a popular child . Siva was unpopular child because he used to be very dull and never used to talk with other fellow mates.

Deepak got popular because he was very good at sports. some physical characteristics also played a role in his popularity. He was tall and handsome. He was very active and used to participate in different kind of activities by maintaining friendly nature. He used to play foot ball and basket ball very well.

These characteristics are related to mine to some extent because we both used to very active and maintain friendly nature.

Siva's personal hygiene played a role in his low populaity. He never used to take bath regularly.He used to be very dull and never used to talk with other fellow mates.

§ How do this child's characteristics compare with unpopular child characteristics you read about in your text?

As siva never used to take bath properly and due to his unhygienic personality, students used to maintain some distance.
