  • Barriers - It protects patients from transfer of pathogens from health care worker- it includes sterile gloves and gowns, Masks for patients and health care provider, Sterile Drapes
  • Patient and equipment preparation - Health care providers use sterile equipments and instruments. cleansing and bacteria killing preparations before a procedure is very important
  • Environmental Controls - People should be limited in an operation theatre, only Concerned people are necessary in the operation room and Always close the door.
  • Contact Guidelines- After health care providers in a sterile zone, they should touch only sterile items and avoid unsterile items
  • Complications- Mostly CAUTI ( Catheter Associated Urinary Tract Infection) , Central line associated blood stream infections and Surgical site infections
