Describe how conflict theorists view definitions of deviant behavior. Provide 3 examples of behaviors that fit this perception of deviance.
Whenever we are talking about deviant behaviour we see it as a behaviour that is not confirming with the norms and values of society, people try to conform with the rules and norms of society because they are unwritten and informal rules of how to conduct behaviour and allow them to presume that what they have to do in particular situation and also people feel uncomfortable if they are considered different. For example deviant behaviour can be like burning the public property, hitting the other person etc.
Conflict theory is a perspective of social psychology according to which the social, political, or material inequality of a social group, detract from structural functionalism and ideological conservatism.
According to conflict theory behaviour is considered to be deviant when it do not matches or go along with norms and rules that are formed by society. The basic view of these theorists is that deviant behaviour is caused because social and economic difficulties within society which is leading to degradation of poor that leads to deviant behaviour which often turns to big crimes.
3 examples of such deviant behaviour are burglary and stealing done by people, riots that happened many times and murder and homicides .
