A. rising cost of health care and it was affecting the lower middle class and poor people in the economy.

B. Focus in health care were shifted from quality of services to earn maximum profit from the patients

C. Increase in the exploitation level by the private parties in terms of high premiums, or not insuring people with preexisting diseases

D. Private firms not offering health coverage to everyone, rising the bill of healthcare for their employees

E. Health care professionals working in conflicting positions at one point of time, not considering the best interests of the patients

Groups such as private insurers, corporate and private hospitals opposed the health care bill, because these groups were to be regulated and there cost structure to be charged to the patients were to be redefined. So, these groups opposed.
