Consider a scenario in which a lab need DNA samples for use in genetic testing studies. Researchers are searching for a variant of a gene that provides resistance to specific bacterial diseases. If the company finds this gene, it may be able to produce a drug to sell to people who have these disease. Would you agree to have your DNA be part of the study? Why or why not? Would you want to royalties for your part in finding the gene! Why or why not?

Consider a scenario in which a lab need DNA samples for use in genetic testing studies. Researchers are searching for a variant of a gene that provides resistance to specific bacterial diseases. If the company finds this gene, it may be able to produce a drug to sell to people who have these disease. Would you agree to have your DNA be part of the study? Why or why not? Would you want to royalties for your part in finding the gene! Why or why not?

I will agree to give my DNA sample to carry out the research for the resistance against the bacteria. We have reached the level where most of the antibiotics are not to provide resistance against the bacterial disease. after many decades we have found the antibiotic whose resistance is not developed by the bacteria. We use the antibiotics against the simple bacteria disease then a time will come where we will not be able to cure bacterial diseases using antibiotics. So if scientists are using the new approach where they can use the mutated gene to fight against the bacterial diseases then, in that case, I will agree to be the part of the study which involves my DNA.

Royalty is the amount that is given by the company to the investors or all the person which helps in developing the drug. The royalty increases the cost of the medicine such that the drug becomes expansive. If any drug is expensive then it will be out of reach of the common people who comprise the major percentage in the pool of diseased people. So I won't ask for the royalty for my part in the study.

I need a decision tree Consider a scenario in which a college must recruit students. They have three options. They can do nothing. Alternatively, they could make their own ad campaign, spending $200,000. Their campaign has an 70% chance of being successful, which would mean bringing in 100 new students at $40,000 per student in tuition. Or the college could decide to spend $800,000 to hire a social media company to do the ads. This social media campaign has a...

There have been a number of studies indicating that schizophrenia is a complex genetic disorder. Which of the following observations are most consistent with this hypothesis? (select two answers) Siblings of individuals with schizophrenia have an elevated risk of developing schizophrenia. In monozygotic twins, if one twin has schizophrenia, it is very rare that the other is affected. Malnutrition in utero and certain infections may increase risk of schizophrenia. Schizophrenia follows an autosomal recessive inheritance pattern.

Then describe one reliable test item and one unreliable test item for that testing scenario. Finally, explain what determines whether an item is reliable or unreliable...
