I would like you to consider how resident rights in long term care facilities address quality of care and really the quality of life of our residents. This is critical that we focus on promoting the rights of our residents. Please compose 3 paragraphs in support of this concept. You can also describe how compromising a resident right can cause many problems.
First of all we look at what are resident's rights are :-The 1987 Nursing Home Reform Law requires each nursing home to care for its residents in a manner that promotes and enhances the quality of life of each resident, ensuring dignity, choice, and self-determination.
Rights are a)The Right to Be Fully Informed of b)Right to Complain c) Right to Participate in One's Own Care d)Right to Privacy and Confidentiality e)Rights During Transfers and Discharges f)Right to Dignity, Respect, and Freedom g)Right to Visits h)Right to Make Independent Choices
Considering all Rights if all resident's are treated there will be no medical negligence, harrasments. It will build a healthy relationship between doctor and resident's. trust will increase and these all will lead to a better nation with healthy people.
But compromising residents right will raise many issues like
1 No trust building
2 Increase in number of medico-legal cases
3 doctor residents dispuits
4 no healthy environment for treatment and much more.
