Nurses are one of the healthcare workers who are at front working hard in this pandemic period. There is a lot of stress due to this pandemic but putting it all aside they are working hard with the heavy PPE 's, staying away from their families etc. They are being trained for using PPE and hand hygiene from the infection prevention and control team.

“There are challenges while providing care. We the nurses are in PPEs throughout the duty period and It is difficult to communicate with our team members. It is frustrating at times, but we must continue our work,”

“It is extremely challenging to deal with elderly patients due to comorbidities such as diabetes, hypertension, and other age-related issues. Providing psychosocial support is extremely important to ease their worries and make them feel comfortable. I also make sure that the patients are physically active. It helps them recover well.

Hence ,I want to say that nurses are prepared to deal with the pandemic , there are protocols which are being followed in the triage , receiving area , isolation area . Special Counselling are given to is to deal with the fear of virus .

It is challenging time for the nurses ,but the nurses are mentally prepared to serve the nation with all the precautions .
