If you were to advise the President of the Philippines on how to cope with the issues on poverty and unemployment to improve the lives of the people, what would you tell him and why?

To cope up with the issues on poverty and unemployment, as a president he should focus on monitoring the implemntation of the program that was funded. And also he should initiate and strengthen the livelihood programs for the people.

Poverty in the philippines  is more persistent than in other countries in south Asia. Consisting of 7,641 island , the Republic of the Philippines is a country located in the Western Pacific ocean. Despite a declining poverty rate in recent years, 21.6 percent of the population of country still live below the national poverty line.

Poverty is the state one who lacks a usual or socially acceptable amount of money or material possessions and is said to exist when people lack the means to statisfy their basic needs. In the most extreme form, it i s the lack of basic human needs, such as adequate and nutritiousfood, clothing,housing,clean water and health services. It can prevent people from realising many of their desires.

Reasons for poverty:

1. over population

2. The unequal distribution of resources in the world economy

3. Inability to meet high standards of living and costs of living.

4. Inadequate education and employment opportunities,

5. Environmental degradaion

6. Certain economic and demographic trends

7. Welfare incentives.

For reducing poverty he should overcome these above reasons. These are the main problems that a country experiencing poverty. INn most cases, the causes and effect of povety interact, so that what makes people also creates conditions that keep them poor.

The unemployment rate in the Philippines jumped to 10.0 percent in 2020 from 5.4 percent. With the worsening economic problem, several reasons why uneployment is high in the Philippines are ; Identified rapid population growth, lack of quality education and envirinmental factors.

There are millions of people needed jobs and only few can provided one. Overpopulation is one of the key factor in the growing unemployment in the Phillipines . The rapid increase in the population indirectly effected the consequence , more resource used up in private consumption such as food, clothing, sheltor and so on. In public consumption like drinking water, electrycity, medical and educational facilities. this has reduced the oppurtunities of diverting a larger propotion of incomes to savings and investment. Thus population growth has created obstacles in the way of growth of the economy and under developed the growth of job oppurtunities

And another cause of unemployment in the philippines may be klack of quality education with the increasing demand of the fast developing world. It is reallyt hard to find jobs when an individual is not a graduate of particular skill or profession . So as a president should provide adequate education for all individual.
