What is the Napoleonic code? ( In the context of French Revolution)
The Napoleonic Code. officially the Civil Code of the French is the French civil code established under the French Consulate in 1804. It is still in force today, although it has been amended from time to time.
Although it was not the legal code in the world, it was the first modern legal code to be adopted with a pan-European scope, and it strongly influenced the law of many of the countries formed during and after the Napoleonic Wars.
