Exertion–induced angina, which is relieved by rest,
nitroglycerin, or both, is referred to as
(a) Prinzmetal’s angina
(b) Unstable angina
(c) Classic angina
(d) Variant angina
(e) Preinfarction angina
And why?
angina pectoris that is also know as stable angina or classic angina will have an episode of the chest pain in an individual. . This kind of the discomfort that occur usually can be predictable as well as it is manageable. An individual usually will experience this will when the individual run or when they deal with some kind of a stress. This kind of chest discomfort in an individual can be relieved with the rest or it can be relieved by intake of , nitroglycerin . This is because this kind of classic angina occur in an individual when they undergoes some kind of stress that is exertion induced angina and this will lead to sudden reduction in the blood supply to the heart through the blood vessel . As here there is less obstruction of the blood vessel this condition can be relieved by increasing the blood flow to the heart by the administration of vasodilator medication to the individual . This will increase the blood supply and cause the reduction in pain due to lack of blood supply
Option a is wrong as Prinzmetal's angina, is a temporary increase in our human coronary vascular tone but it is not exertion induced angina
Option b is wrong as unstable angina cannot be relieved by nitroglycerin as it is caused by obstruction of BLOOD vessel by plaque . So it cannot be relieved by Vasodilation by nitroglycerin
Option d is wrong as variant angina specificaly is a kind of angina pectoris that is secondary to that of the epicardial coronary artery spasm and it js not exertion induced angina
Option c is the correct answer as nitroglycerin can relive it by causing vaso relaxation
Option e is wrong as pre infraction angjna cannot be relieved by nitroglycerin . So it is wrong answer
