DNA replication is a [1] process because each new molecule has [2] strand of [3] DNA and [4] of [5] DNA.
The role of [6] is to unzip the double helix. DNA polymerase extends the [7] primers made by the primase. On the [8] strand the DNA synthesis is discontinuous, on the [9] strand is instead continuous. The reason for this difference is that [10].
Please fill in the numbered blanks and for the [10] can you make a sentence that is less than 10 words.
DNA replication is a 1: semiconservative process because each new molecule has 2: one old strand of 3: template DNA and 4: one new strand of 5: synthesised DNA.
The role of 6: helicase to unzip the double helix. DNA polymerase extends the 7: DNA chain by adding nucleotides to the primers made by primase. On the 8: 3' -5' strand DNA synthesis is discontinous and on the 9: 5'-3' strand it is continous. The reason for this is that 10: DNA replication is occur only in 5'-3' direction.
Explanation: DNA synthesis is a semidiscontinous process in which the DNA replication carried only in 5'-3'. But the lagging strand which is in 3'-5' direction unble to fallow this orientation of polymerase moment. Hence it form a loop with small part of DNA which is upfront for DNA replication to redirect it's orientation to 5'-3' in the loop formed. After replicating the small sterch it get back to its original 3'-5' direction. Another stretch replicated in the same way to produce small discontinuous fragments in 3'-5' DNA.
