For children, rough and tumble play could be considered as being extremely fun. This type of play would be including social play, that would also include physical play, stories being shared and positive emotions. There would e vigorous activities such as swinging, chasing, jumping or fighting. This is a normal form of activity observed in children from pre school to adolescence.

The benefits of tumble play and rough play is development of social skills through chasing games . Children would be learning independently problem solving skills to stay with the group. They would also learn how to adapt with the environment, and respond to the difference changes. Also, the child would learn care and to feel for others as they would fall.

Depending on the cultural beliefs, there would be an effect on peer associations. Some of the adults, view play only as entertainment and not as a part of cognitive and social benefit. Depending on a person’s culture, there would be a definition of the child’s play and interpreted accordingly. According to the beliefs of a person, the child would perceive an information and construct rules for their play.

Dramatic play is the form of symbolic play, where children ould be pretending to be taking on someone else’s roles, along with speech, and imitation of actions. If another person gets involved, the play would be referred to as socio dramatic play. There ould be role playing involved, along with social development, emotional development, cognitive development and language development. Also, there would be development of motor skills.
