Solutions

  • To some extent you learn very different things in the different types of museums, just as you do with different books. If these institutions are doing their job well, they will facilitate a process by which you make connections to the subject matter of each museum. Ideally, the exhibits and the collections that are presented in those exhibits will facilitate expanded understanding. For example, in an art museum you can look at a painting and see the actual brush strokes made by the artist, and gain some closer connection to the person who was expressing themselves through that work.
  • “The Museum” is a place where we connect to the subject matter it presents, and hopefully, it provides us with the inspiration to learn more. A good museum exhibit can motivate us to go get a book on the subject, to talk to knowledgeable people, to look and think further, and to be self-directed learners. But most of all, it can take us outside of ourselves.
  • Experiences, such as visiting a museum, can also become a meaningful part of ones identity and contribute to successful social relationships in a manner that material items cannot.
  • Museums are examples of informal learning environments, which means they are devoted primarily to informal education a lifelong process whereby individuals acquire attitudes, values, skills and knowledge from daily experience and the educative influences and resources in his or her environment. Even outside of museums, informal learning plays a pivotal role in how we take in the world around us.
  • The environment allows you to form your own unique experiences and take away information that interests you.Museums inspire me personally to be more self aware and also be more creative in my work.Creativity is not just restricted to art but also business as well.Museum visits helps to gain an insight into your own personality and thought process when you connect with some painting or sculpture.I see myself sometimes in those paintings and reflecting upon the situations I am facing in my own personal life,it sometimes has helped me to resolve my problems and my internal conflicts as well and made me control my emotions better.
