Why are scientists throughout the world are convinced that evolution happened?
Science is the branch of systematic knowledge or study dealing with a body of facts or truths gained through observation and experimentation. The idea that species gradually change over many generations is the cornerstone of biology. According to one of the scientists Dr. Charles Darwin, each new organism is subtly different from its parents and that these differences can help the offspring or hinder it. The offspring develop new characteristics in order to adapt to the changes in its surrounding. So within a given population advantageous traits become common and disadvantageous traits disappear. With the passing time, these advantageous changes mount up and lead to the appearance of new species and a new tye of organism. As evidenced from the fossil records gradually worms became fish, fish came onto land and developed four legs, those four-legged animals grew hair and eventually some of them started walking around on two legs. These new species who walked on two legs called themselves humans and discovered evolution. Evolution takes a long times to make big changes. These changes can be seen in fossils preserved in rocks or in frozen fossils. As the rocks are laid down in layers, one on top of the other the fossil record is set out indate order; the oldest fossil is present at the bottom of these rock layers. Studying these fossil records makes it clear that life has changed over time.
