Neurotransmitters are the chemicals released by neurons, that carry information across synapses. The neurotransmitter includes Acetylcholine, Norepinephrine, Dopamine, Serotonin and GABA.
Acetylcholine is found in the central nervous system. It is involved in muscle action, learning and memory.
Norepinephrine is found in the autonomic nervous system. It is involved in alertness and wakefulness.
Dopamine is found in brain and spinal cord. It is involved in learning and attention. It is also responsible for Schizophrenia disease.
Serotonin is found in brain and spinal cord. It controls mood. GABA is also situated in brain and spinal cord. It is related to sleep and eating disorders.
