Ans:- In general nurses care for one patient at a time but public health nurse care for entire population under that individual / neighborhood / community all comes.

By working with whole communities, public health nurse are able to educate people about health issues, improve community health, safety and increase access to care.

For people who don't have assess to care, public health nurse may also provide direct health care services, including preventive care, screening services and health education.

Nurse can educate clients / neighborhood/ community through following steps:-

1. Health education :- it is a primary focus of public health nurse. In it she explains about proper nutrition, demonstrate effective safety practices, promote early detection of common diseases, tell them how to care for disabled or ill family members and inform people about other important health issues.

2. Immunization :- public health nurse immunize the school health childrens, provide pre -natal and well baby care and teach the elderly how to stay safe and healthy at home.
