What are specials measures that must be taken with patients with Klebsiella Pneumonia. Does it need to be reported?
By following the specific medical protocols for infection control we can control the infection of Klebsiella strains. There should be use of only specific antibiotic for the certain duration with utmost care.
Furthermore there should be proper hand washing to prevent transmission from patient to patient or by the medical personnel. We can apply the contact isolation for patients who are infected with antibiotic–resistant Klebsiella strains.
As the special provision is concerned there should be practice of single-use to prevent the cross contamination. There should be active surveillance to manage the case of klebsilla pneumonia.
Yes offcourse these cases are immediately reported to the concern physician. Then they are advised to follow the complete care plans along with the special provisions discussed above.
Thus in this way we can mannage effectively the cases of the klebsilla pneumonia and further prevent the spread of the highly resistant bacterial disease.
