Why is resolution more important than magnification?
Thanks
Resolution and magnification are the two terms used in the microscopy.
Magnification word itself describes that it magnifies the image. In certain cases, it's not possible to see the original object which is very small in size. Magnification helps us to see that object in the larger size (i.e. in magnify size). As a result of it, we are able to see the object under the microscope clearly.
Second term resolution, resolution means to resolve. This term is associated with the degree of separation of the two closely attached objects. Resolution helps us to distinguish two closely object in a separate manner.
The reason: It is possible to magnify the image or object beyond certain limit but it results in blur. If the object does not have a proper resolution you can not see the object properly with 1000x magnification. On the contrary, if the object has good resolution you can see the object with the lesser magnification as well.
Thus, a resolution is more important than the magnification.
