Differentiate between the demands of legal policies and ethical issues with relevance to the needs of the provider and patient.

Legal policies and ethical issues are essential parts of the health care system, both policies protect the provider and patient from any form of improper treatment or conflicting matters. Religious type of Christians, normally follow the rules of the ten commandments, in a similar aspect, physicians/providers have something very similar that they should follow, which is called the Hippocratic Oath for physicians.The Hippocratic oath is merely and oath that physicians/providers normally follow and abide by, when practicing medicine. There is no direct punishment for violating the Hippocratic oath, for it is more a morale of practicing medicine, rather than a law. However, there is the code of medical ethics, that physicians/providers must abide by. According to the Legal and Ethical Issues for Health Professionals; This law provides that injury to a patient due to a negligent act can result in financial penalties imposed by the courts to compensate the injured party and hopefully deter similar acts.Another legal and ethical issue, is for when a physician has decided to terminate a patient from their practice. This needs to be done under the legal guidelines, for a physician can be accountable for the liability of the patient’s health.
