The chief executive officer (CEO) wants you to create a proposal for the first 3 months of operation utilizing time value of money tools for the development of this new revenue-generating department. The following points must be covered in your proposal:
•Include a schedule of assumptions for your proposal. What questions might the board ask regarding feasibility of this proposal?
A proposal is a formal plan in written form to put forward for consideration by others .
Proposal :-
- We are working in a community hospital . It was established to provide healthcare services to the people of the community which is affordable, accessible and provided at correct time .
It was established for the welfare of general public with the initiative to provide them healthcare services 24×7 , but in a survey done by the administrative department about the services to the people ,it is found that they are not satisfied by the pharmacy services because it is not available 24×7 . Up location have to go outside of the hospital to buy the medicines which is tiring and also inhibiting the provision of immediate medicines by delaying because medicine is not available in the hospital pharmacy why because it's not available the whole day . It's a major concern that has to be corrected soon as it hinders the provision of immediate resuscitative care too which is a life saving step .
The solution for this to convert pharmacy services into 24×7 and post shift duties for the pharmacist . Medicines are the basic thing to be present in a hospital . A major section or a proportion of hospital funds should be kept separate for pharmacy functions according to the need and requirements.
The questions that might be asked by the board regarding feasibility of this proposal are :-
- how much amount of fund should be used for pharmacy functions
- will it improve the hospital turnover or not
- will it effect the fixed budget used for healthcare services provided by the government.
