Some of the enzymes, which are associated in converting fats into carbohydrates, are present in
(a) microsomes
(b) glyoxysomes
(c) liposomes
(d) golgi bodies.
Ans-(b) glyoxysomes.
Explanation-
After the germination, the seeds containing oil metabolise the stored triglycerols by coverting lipids into sucrose. Plants being unable to transport fats from the endosperm to roots and shoots of germinating seedlings, so they need to convert stored lipid to a more mobile form generally sucrose. The entire process involves several steps that are located in several cellular compartments namely oleosomes, glyoxysomes, mitochondria and cytosol.
