Anti oxidants are compunds that inhibit oxidation, Oxidation is a chemical reaction that can produce free radicals thereby leading to chain reactions that may damage the cells of organisms. Antioxidents such as thiols or ascorbic acid terminate these reactions, Phytochemicals are naturally occuring compound in plant foods such as fruits,vegetables,whole grains,beans,nuts,and seeds In laborotory studies many phytochemicals act as antioxidents neutralizing free radicals and removing their power to create damage, and antioxident vitamins likee Vitamin -A,C,E are also good anti oxidents and the minerals like Copper,zinc and selenium also works as antioxidating angents,
