Performance measures and standards. Explain the differences between individual versus group performance and the measures that apply to each.

Differences between Individual and group performance and measures:
1)An Individual performance is comparision of employee performance with standard performance.A Standard performance arevderieved from individual job descriptions which are used to measure to the individual performance on which the payment for employee generally depend upon.
Group performance is however somewhat a different concept. A Group have different goals which may be short term or long term which are to be achieved by that team in certain time. The goals may be a certain production level or product quality or process quality or so on.
2)The only thing considered in Individual performance is the performance to standards.
When it comes to group performance,the performance measurement will be on the basis whether the group meet their goals or not and the individuals performance in the group is in accordance with standards or not.
