You are a second year student in Prestige Open University. The recent pandemic, Covid-19, has forced your university to move lessons online. This change brought about relief to some students but also some challenges to others. As a second year student, you have decided to write a proposal to the dean of the school to highlight the problems faced and suggest some possible solutions.
In your proposal to the dean of the school,
state the purpose of your proposal;
suggest two (2) problems that you faced while attending classes
online;
suggest two (2) solutions to overcome those problems; and
describe the benefits of those suggestions to the students.
Your proposal should be about 600-800 words.

Brief Outline:
Discuss formally what you intend to get from the proposal and why you are writing the proposal. It seems that proposal is written with the purpose of trying to overcome any challenges that students may have faced during the time of the pandemic. The purpose of the proposal needs to be straightforward, make sure to mention "I am writing this proposal to bring forth few concerns raised by the students regarding the challenges of online classes and would be grateful if you could address the same". This line shows a clear purpose of your writing as well as signifies the intended outcome you would like.
Problems that have be recurrent during the pandemic are:
1. Disrupt of connectivity or wifi problems during the online class poses problems such as disrupting the flow of the class, many students even miss out on information due to network problems. Some students may not be able to attend class on a certain day due to maybe network issues.
2. Some students do not have access to basic infrastructure at home or even a conducive environment at home to concentrate and study in. This can be quite problematic especially in low-income households, and thus many students are being disadvantaged especially in developing countries.
Solutions:
1. Request teachers to send the recording of the class, post the lecture. This will help students to go back to the lecture and take down any notes that they might have missed out on due to network issues. Also, request professors to conduct a doubt session where students can ask any additional doubts or questions they may have.
2. Potentially allow ONLY those students who do not have a proper household environment to access the University resources or computers, and ensuring that this is done under precautionary measures. These students can be allowed to access computers at the University to attend their online classes.
