According to B.M.Dictens the possibility of sex selection unite the view of many people with religious views with the view of many feminist. The urge to select children s sex is not new from 5th century till now. Sex selection is the view of many people. There are many development in the field of science for selection of sex of future children has been accompanied by fear that such means will be employed in favour of birth of son and devaluation of girl children.

But in recent years the view of religious people and many feminist have agreed that selection of sex should be prohibited as it is a risk of women's life. Many laws and legislation has been enacted in a number of countries to prohibits sex selection on medical grounds such as PRENATAL DIAGNOSTIC TECHNIQUES ACT 1994 in India.

In Canada May 2002?this Act is also enacted.By the 1980's feminism has become a political influential force in Western Europe, North America and several democratic countries. In Asian countries like India , China there are some preference apparent, many analytics explain the sex selection as a technique only as male dominated sexism and women subordination.

Therefore they view that it is an instrumental and consequence of male dominance which may lead to horrified results in future.

Reasons

The prohibition of sex selection are failing in many countries, and it appear too peripheral on their own to relieve sex bias must be tackled at more fundamental ,social , economic and legal levels.

They mostly agree upon that if sex selection continous then it will lead to sex ratio imbalance like In many Asians countries sex ratio in 933 females to 1000 males,and these figures offers a promise of future redress. The dearth of prospective women will in short time,enhance the social value of daughters,reversing their vulnerability and force of male dominance.
