Being a good communicator with excellent people skills is a winning combination if you want to be an effective health care manager. You need to manage your own team and work well with other departments, facilities and organizations. You also need to listen to patients so you can meet their needs.

◾️The “universal” skills you'll need as a healthcare administrator.
◾️The primary responsibility of health care managers is to foster an environment that can provide necessary and quality health care at maximum profit. They determine budgets, order and receive supplies, administer payroll and benefits, and distribute regular communications.
◾️Having the ability to change leadership styles based on situations is also a helpful leadership skill to take into a healthcare administration position. Often, the top eight identified leadership styles charisma, innovation, command and control, pace setter, laissez-faire, servant, situational, and transformational.
