Given the nature of strategic leadership, what role does your personal faith play in supporting strategic leadership? If you are not a person of faith, then respond to the following: what role does your personal ethical commitments, character, or values play in supporting strategic leadership?
As a leader, what role do you believe religious faith can or should play in the organization as a resource for social networks, social capital, knowledge, etc? Explain.
The personal belief of a leader plays a major role in strategic management, as faith holds values , beliefs, norms, etc. This faith makes the leadership style , personality and behaviour. As we know, strategic leadership in an organization is extremely important because it helps leaders to inspire, encourage or influence their shared strategic vision and goals.
As a leader, I have values such as honesty, transparency, integrity, truthfulness, equality, respect and attention. My strategic leadership style consists of all these values.
For instance-if someone comes to me and ask me what are weaknesses in him, so I would give an honest answer because deceiving or lying only makes situation worse. Honesty and integrity helps me keep me transparent and honest with my followers who work for me. Responding honestly helps the follower work on and improves his weakness.
A strategic leader has to respect his followers as respect and attention help to build a strong connection. The leader will follow the leader without aksing a question when there is a strong relationship and confidence.
For example- Mahatma Gandhi has been a ruler that looks dull and weak, but his values have been noble and determined. He doesn't believe in the abuse. He respects people and struggles in freedom for their rights. That's why people follow him. Not ten or hundred but thousands of people followed him on account of his values and faith in truth and honesty. That is why India has had liberty just because its personality is based on good faith leaders and ethical values.
A strategic leader is always concerned with those who follow him. I would make sure that I take care of my staff professionally if I were a manager of a company such as a Manager or CEO. I would provide opportunities, resources and training to grow. Care to make loyal employees by a strategic leader
But I would set a bad example for my followers if I got differing values like telling lies, being dishonest, being biases etc. These leaders are not going to be good for the staff and for society.
For instance- a company CEO is convinced that he or she takes bribe and profites to do business. This leader will follow and involve the employee doing bribe.
So in strategic leadership, we can see how personal faith plays a very important role.
2. As a leader, what role do you believe religious faith can or should play in the organization as a resource for social networks, social capital, knowledge, etc? Explain.
Religious faith provides people and leadership with good and healthy insights. It's about the people how they learn religious lessons and take more ethical and confused decisions. Social capital can be developed worldwide through religious harmony, social networking and the establishment of healthy relations. A true leader must articulate best knowledge from every religion and then try to codify it in organisation. It helps individuals do the best in the business world for all stakeholders.
Top Notch companies around the globe, for instance, have a positive view of religious ideology. They not only celebrate festivals but also encourage staff from different religious backgrounds to develop their own ethical code. Amazon, TATA India, Microsoft , Google, etc. have demonstrated a great global harmony. They employed individuals from different countries and followed good ethical practices by extracting them from the Bible, Bhagwat geeta, and even Kuran, etc.
A major leader is emphasized to create customers and other stakeholders in a very competitive market with a strategic advantage. People with diverse knowledge, skills and skills can offer creative thinking, innovative solutions and the best possible services. Social networking contributes to sound image creation on the market. People conduct large publicity campaigns as they serve other customers and business partners as a source of knowledge.
When employees believe in religious lessons, they usually behave with the label and treat other staff as representatives of God in their workplace. In the past, they worked in a team spirit and tried to solve any conflict, motivation and change management problems. The following understanding and attributes must apply to a good manager:
1) Transparent view: a good leader believes in different culturally differentiated perspectives. With prudence and honest thoughts, he makes his own mind set.
2) Enabling social:
A good leader identifies and then provides valuable insights to solve social difficulties. In society and on the market, he supports a good cause.
3) Strong incentive:
True leader inspires people with his subordinate understanding. This kind of leadership motivates people as they integrate objectives and roles. When people get help from their elderly, they start thinking positively.
4) Change Agent Leadership:
When people are resistant to changes in organizational conditions, senior lenders should manage them. Leadership can thus clarify employees' doubts that resist any change.
