c) It also undermines the ability of American Indians to portray accurate and respectful images of their cultures and beliefs.

What should be done to effectively address disputes that will arise when a decision is made to use or to discontinue use of a particular mascot?

There must be stringent laws which will allow the use or to discontinue use of a particular mascot. It must be noted that these laws must be applicable at all levels in the society especially at the college or school levels
