5 coping strategies for a toddler and preschool

1. Nominate words for feelings.

Kids are not known about strong feelings and emotions. Guide them in naming their emotions. Then it will be esay to handle them both. The fear, anxiety etc. should be made well explainable for them.

2. Discover his/her triggers.

Analyse their toughest and weakest points. Give warning before stopping them from continuing their television watching, video games etc.

3. Stick on to what he or she loves.

Offer their happiest activities on small achievements. E.g.: play hide and seek, involve them in simple and safe cooking.

4. Be understanding.

Be kind to the kids. they are keen observers and they need active listeners. Show love and empathy to them.

5. Get expert's help whenever needed.

If the things go bad and one parent cannot take care, it is ok to seek help from experts or professionals.
