The Theory of Lydia E Hall

Lydia Hall was born in New York city on 21st September 1906. She emphasized on the involvement of community in health care issues. She gained her knowledge of nursing experiences and psychiatry at the Loeb Center where she formed her theory of nursing. According to her theory of nursing, her theory of nursing care contains three independent and interconnected circles which are the core, the care and the cure.

The Theory states that, the core is that the person or patient to whom medical aid is directed and required. The core has goals set by himself and not by the other person, which these goals got to be achieved. The core, additionally, behaved per his feelings, and price system. The cure, on the opposite hand is that the attention given to patients by the medical professionals. The model explains that the cure circle is shared by the nurse with different health professionals.
