Compare and contrast Federalists vs. Anti-Federalists. Examples must include one policy suggestion from Alexander Hamilton and one from Thomas Jefferson.
The Federalists and the Anti-federalists had the standard views of advancing the United States; they both came together with the sole target to ratify the constitution to suit the opinions they advocated would instantly result into rising of the US (German & Zachary, 2017). However, disputes arose between the two sides with differing ideas. The federalists advocated for a central government, establishing a national navy and army and a national bank. The anti-federalists viewed the central government as a way of starting tyrannical governance by violating the people's will.
Hamilton adopted the federalist ideologies informing the central government and argued that the state governments would slowly abolish. Hamilton's policymaking aligned with the opposition to the formation of the state governments. Jefferson was an anti-federalist; he rejected the federalist policies during his tenure. The policies formulated by Jefferson aimed at reducing the extravagant expenditure by the federalists. Jefferson reduced the government's employees, reduced the army budget by half, and reduced the number of US diplomats.
